Our story

we started in a 2 car garage, and became a patented phenomenon

Our origin story

We started with one question.
Why can't you change the top?

FanBags CEO Brian Poetter (Center) with ACL Pro's Derrick King (Left) and Jordan Camba (Right) at the 2014 Bags in The Ball Park tournament.

It was 2012. Brian Poetter was at a tailgate — the kind where you've got two teams, two sets of fans, and one set of cornhole boards stuck wearing yesterday's colors. And he thought: there has to be a better way.

What if you could slide the playing surface out, drop a new design in, and be back to tossing bags before anyone noticed? One frame. Any design. Any team. Any occasion. A simple idea — but nobody had done it. So Brian did.

"What started as a way to show your fandom for multiple teams blossomed into something none of us saw coming."

FanBags Cornhole was born in the Midwest, built by a family that actually plays the game. What started as a tailgating hack became a patent-pending innovation. Breweries started using one set to show off their rotating tap list. Wineries displayed seasonal bottles on their boards. Couples got custom sets made for their weddings. Businesses turned cornhole into a marketing tool. The idea that started with a single tailgate question had grown into something no one expected.

And through all of it, FanBags stayed exactly what it was on day one: a family-owned company obsessed with making products as unique as the people who buy them.

what we believe

FanBags isn't just a cornhole company. We're a brand built around the moments that happen around the boards — the trash talk, the clutch shots, the cold drinks, the celebrations. These are the values we put into every product we make.

If you look good, you play good

We take pride in making the best-looking boards and bags on the market. HD-printed directly onto wood — no vinyl, no decals, no peeling. Your design stays as sharp as the day you ordered it.

One size never fits all

Every customer is different. That's why we built a custom shop. Weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, breweries — we've made boards for all of it, and we love every single order.

Built for the game

Our Tournament Edition PRO boards are the same boards you see at your local tournament and on TV. We don't make toys — we make equipment that serious players trust.

Family first, always

When you choose FanBags, you're not buying from a warehouse or a dropshipper. You're buying from Brian, Chelsea, and a team that cares about every order that goes out the door.

the only one of its kind

FanBags is the only company in the world to offer interchangeable playing surfaces. Our patented system lets you remove a playing surface, slide in a new design, and be ready to play — in under 30 seconds. No tools. No hassle. No compromise.

Every interchangeable top is printed in stunning HD, directly onto the wood surface. That means no tearing, no fading, no bubbling — the problems that plague boards covered in vinyl decals. Your design is part of the board, not stuck on top of it.

One frame. Unlimited possibilities.

the team

FanBags is run by a small, passionate team that lives and breathes cornhole. We're players, designers, and builders — and we treat every order like it's going to our own backyard.

Brian Poetter

President & CEO · Founder

The guy who asked "why can't you change the top?" in 2012 and never stopped until he had the answer. Brian runs the operation and still personally oversees every custom order.

Even with a team of designers he likes to "WOW" every wedding or small business customer.

chelsea Poetter

vp of marketing

Chelsea is the voice and face of FanBags — the reason the brand looks and feels the way it does. If you've seen a FanBags photo that stopped your scroll, that's Chelsea's work. She makes it her mission to showcase the work that we do, the events we sponsor, and the people we connect with all over the country.

the pro's
